Hello Everyone, I was able to attend the orientation at the Macedonia World Baptist Missions home office two week ago. Many missionary families as well as myself have really enjoyed this productive time to better prepare for the future work that God has called each of us to! We learned about many things today in areas like, Culture, missionary burn out and finishing the work that God has started in your life. This is a very challenging time and very important to my future ministry for deputation as well on the field in Mexico. We met each morning at 8:00 and we went throughout the whole day in classes. We also met each evening at 7:00 for services. This is a wonderful time for fellowship with other missionaries that are going through the same kinds of things and need encouragement from each other. I was able to visit Old Swanee Baptist Church two Sundays ago to share my work and slide presentation. I was able to talk with a Muslim this past evening... It was so sad to see how far they were from the truth of God's Word. We must be reaching out to this world that is in darkness! God Bless you all! Yours for the Lord's work, Jonathan Anderson Missionary to Mexico Website: WinMexicoForChrist.com 770-654-9589

What a blessing it has been the last few weeks! I was able to preach at my home church (Calvary Baptist Church) this past week. It was great getting to see everyone there again as I do not get to that much with deputation standing before me. the Last church I was in was Camp Creek Baptist church in Cornelia Ga, this past Sunday evening. I was able to share for about 10 minutes and play the violin with one of their many talented piano players! The Lord really has blessed this dear church and they have such a sweet spirit about them. Please pray as I continue to book meetings and visit around to the different churches during this year. There is much work to be done! I also was able to go to a Pastor’s conference this past Thursday and was able to get to know many Pastors. I hope that from that I can make some more contacts and move forward from there. Thank you all again for your faithful prayers and support! Please be praying for a dear friend of mine, Paul Fontenot who is leaving for North Africa this coming week! He will be there around two months. You can go and see his blog at http://dafroneyguy.blogspot.com/. I know this young man and look forward to seeing what God is gong to do with his life!

Update on the Family Conference!
Emmanuel Baptist Church just got done hosting their Family Conference this past Friday evening. God really blessed and there were many new families that were there for this special time. Please pray that they would come back and become dedicated members of this wonderful Spanish ministry!
I’ve been able to spend a lot of time with the Aranday family who are visiting for three weeks. Mr. Aranday preached the family Conference and God really used this man of God! I also have been able to spend time with Josue the son, and he has a heart for the Jewish people. I’m praying about going to visit this dear family down in Mexico sometime during the summer.
Many children came and were able to hear about so many great things from the Bible during this conference.

I’m getting ready to graduate from Gwinnett Hall Baptist Collage at the end of April. The Lord has shown me so much about His word in the past three years and I have so much that I must pass on just as II Timothy 2:2 says “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” One of the teachers who is the Dean at the school is Pastor Jack Lawson. This man of God has helped me in so many ways when it comes to understanding God’s Word and how to have application!
I hope to be in Mexico from the end of April and into May. this will be my survey trip to find out where I will be working the first year and as well what the best way may be to learn the Spanish language in a “correct” way! I hope to visit some ministries around Mexico City as well as Gererro. I’m still praying about where the Lord would have me to start His first church there in Mexico. Right now I am helping out at Emmanuel Baptist church (the Spanish church) that was started out of Calvary Baptist church in Smyrna, Ga.
The Pastor is Gary Ellison who was in Mexico for five years before the Lord called him and his family back here to minister to the Hispanic population that has grown so much! the Lord has really blessed and there are around fifteen people in the Bible Institute!
Four of the young men were able to preach back in December and what a blessing it was to see how far they have come! The one you see in the picture above is a guy that just has gone back to Mexico to help start a church in Gererro. My hope is to take some Institute courses on the side from there to better learn the Spanish language as I will be reading and learning about the Bible in Spanish. I have many brothers in Christ that are already doing their best to help me with the language but because of still being in school until the end of April I need to wait until that is out of the way to really pursue the language any deeper right now.
The Lord has allowed me to see a Missionary Prayer Meeting start about two years ago and we are now able to meet once a month with the young people from Calvary Baptist Church, and once a week with the Spanish young men from Emmanuel Baptist church in Smyrna! The name of this group is the “Prayer Stormers” and the main goal is to see our prayers make a difference in the lives of missionaries across the world and that they will have more boldness through the prayers that have been and will be said for them! If I can say it this way, we are holding the rope for those who have already gone down into the well! One man said “you should have marks from where you have been holding the rope! Amen! We hope to see this grow as I will be sharing this burden in churches while on deputation and maybe even some Christian schools. Thank each and everyone of you that have been praying for me as I have followed the Lord in the path that He has chosen for me. Please keep praying as the Lord continues to direct my steps. I hope to have a Website up and running here in the near future. Also, please be in prayer as I go for my interview with Macedonia world Baptist Missions on the 21st February.
God Bless!

I was able to spend half of my Christmas Eve with a Spanish family that I have been reaching out to. This family has come to church one time and Lord willing will be going this Sunday to the Spanish church! Please pray that they would see their need for the Savior! I also have had the opportunity to talk with the Spanish guys in the church about starting a missionary prayer meeting! The church is still growing and I believe that we must create the burden on our hearts for missionaries by praying before we can get people’s heart truly into missions! It must start with praying! Hope you all have had a great Christmas and time off to think about the birth of Jesus Christ. God Bless!

If I may share my heart about a matter that is among so many Christians today. What is that you say? Why is it that most Christians are not challenged with their lack of boldness in this generation? It would seem as though we as Christians don’t even need boldness today! Is it that, or is it that if Christians really carried the name of Christ out, there would be a greater need for a great boldness? Why did David need boldness to take down Goliath? Why did Esther need boldness to stand before her king? Why is it that we read about Peter and John in the book of Acts that they showed boldness? That brings me to a question I would like to ask each one of you. This is a question that I have asked myself. Could it be that we as Christians today are not taking a stand, as we should be for our God Almighty? I am not just talking about telling people that yes you believe in God, but are you a living example of Jesus Christ and the life that He lived while here on this earth? The book of Acts in 4:13 says, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” We must thrive for the moment when we can display the boldness of Christ in our lives! What a wonderful thing that we have the privilege to be apart of! I do hope one day that I will have to have such boldness in order to stand up for my God! Do you even care about being a Christian who can claim the boldness of Christ in your life? Just know this…. Those who truly step out and stand up for what is right, honest, pure, true, above reproach. These are the ones that will have the time in life to know what it means to be bold for the name of Christ! I do not know about you, but I do not want to miss having the power of the Almighty God on my life. Also, I live for a time that I may show that boldness to this lost and dying world so that my Lord my get the glory that is due Him!

I have been praying and planning some new things for a group called the “Prayer stormers.” God has put a very big burden on my heart about praying for missionaries and the leaders in our churches! We have had a missionary prayer meeting for the most part faithfully for the past two years. The Lord has been showing me that I need to reach out and share this burden with other young people within other churches so that they can start their own meetings! There is lots that need to be done in order to see something like this take place. We are working on the foundation of the group right now and I hope to have it completed so while I’m on deputation I can share the burden and give a booklet and a place to go online to get a meeting started in that church! I would love to talk to anyone that would like to start this in their own church and would like to ask how we started the group that we have now! May we dream of things that only God can fulfill! That way we know He did it and not us. God Bless!
